How to Burn an MP3 CD for a Car CD player

Burning an MP3 CD to Play in a Car
You can burn an MP3 CD that will work in your car using an FLAC converted and an MP3 Audio CD burner. Your MP3 files must be converted to FLAC files to be able to play in your car's CD player withour the "Error" or "Error 1" message! This takes only a few minutes (approximately 5 minutes per CD) and it's an automatic process. You can find the files you need to download from some of the resources listed in this article.
Downloading and Installing the FLAC Converter
FLAC to MP3 converters are easy to find as freeware. You can also use a All-in-one MP3 File Converter, it will convert just about any type of file imaginable. The conversion process is usaully a point-and-click step that takes about 5 minutes. The beauty of FLAC songs is that they will play in your car. They'll play in just about anything - it's just like buying a CD from the store (I know most of you out there haven't done this since 1999).
Car CD Errors
There are two error messages that may display on your car's LED panel. The first, and most annoying, is "ERROR!" It makes you feel like you've done something wrong just by inserting a CD you wish to listen to. This error is due to the fact that your MP3 files have not yet been converted to FLAC files. You'll find this problem stops happening once you've followed the steps listed above.
The second, and probably the most common error is "Error 1!" This is because the CD you have inserted into your car's CD player is too scratched. Corrupted files and missing information can also cause this error, however this is not as common as the previous reason. This error can be fixed by using a CD cleaning solution to clean your CDs before each play.
MP3 Conversion Tools
MP3 Conversion tools are mostly shareware versions of simple convert MP3 to FLAC programs. These are easy to find, if you browse the Web a lot they can almost become hard to avoid. Have fun, happy converting, and enjoy!

Thanks for this Hub! A lot of people don't realize that you can't just burn music files to a cd as data and expect them to play.
